Hello all! My name is Andrew and I am from Kansas, USA. I have been listening to electronic music for over a decade (since I was 14). Besides my wife, Electronic Music is my only real passion and it is constantly on my mind. That being said, I consider myself a "purist" in that I only listen to Electronic Music.
Some might call me closed-minded, however I believe after hearing 25 years of all other forms of music and hearing nothing but total crap I am justified in closing myself off to everything but the only truly good music I have ever heard with any sort of depth or character.
I also blog about the industry at a website I host that will not be mentioned specifically on this site per the forum rules. I attend as many DJ events as possible (VERY hard to achieve in Kansas, not surprisingly).
What I expect from this community:
I expect to hear Electronic Music I have never heard before and to gain a broader understanding of the industry in general.
What I hope to expected from me:
I wish to be leaned on as a non-producer veteran in the industry. I hope to be able to share my opinion to help people shape their personal tastes the way they wish, in the most efficient way possible. I want to provide whatever I can to help this community stay healthy and find what they need. I glean to have the entire community look forward to my posts as constructive, gainful, and polite.
Okay, sorry all of that was so serious. Electronic Music is one of only three things I take very seriously though. Anyway, I hope a Yankee is welcome around these parts. How can I help you guys first?
